The Mid Century Market
When shopping for vintage, the sheer span and variety can cause the mind to boggle somewhat. However, event planner Bethan Soanes has come up with a handy solution. By honing in on a specific vintage era, The Mid Century Market offers exactly what it says on the tin - goods, attire and merchandise all from, or inspired by, the middle decades of the twentieth century. This was our first trip to the Mid Century Market, and although smaller than expected, it did not fail to impress.
There was a nice mix of both true vintage items on offer, alongside reproduction vintage. Familiar faces and names Lady K Loves and Piplotex displayed brightly hued clothing, whilst other vendors offered jewellery and accessories. The range of 1950s novelty prints was impressive, and would prove a delight for both collectors or consumers alike. Whilst there was indeed plenty of ladieswear, there were also a few stalls selling men's clothing and accessories.
