Exactly how do Hep Cats Holiday?
Exactly how do Hep Cats Holiday?
Ever wanted to combine a relaxing weekend break with some dance classes and some vintage social life?

The London Swing Cats have found there are so many of you that say YES to the above that they can hire an entire holiday camp for two events each year.

We were invited to the March shindig to see what it's all about.
Hep Cat's Holiday starts with everyone arriving on Friday afternoon and carries on to the following Monday. The dance on Friday evening featured the Bill Elliot Swing Orchestra all the way from the US and Laura B & the Moonlighters (who we've seen previously at Twinwood).

Saturday classes started at around 10:30 and went on in to the early evening 6pm. Our intrepid reporters tried their hand a bit of Balboa and Shag!

At the evening dance, we were treated to the musical stylings of Emanuele Urso and his Swing Orchestra from Italy and the Ray Collins Hot Club from Germany.

Sunday was a little more relaxed (if that was possible, it's a very relaxed camp) as a certain member of the team continued dancing until almost 5am! After taking in some more dance classes as well as a rather ahem, revealing male pin-up contest, we were lucky enough to see performances by the Speakeasies Swing Band (from Greece), The Honolulu Hula Boys (Italy) and The Inteli-Gents (who we were lucky enough to interview at the Cat's Meow in December).
